Excel Functions and Formulas, Adding (Concatenating) Text

Adding (Concatenating) text in cells can be done using the “&” symbol. In the example below cell D2 adds (concatenates) the strings in cells A2, B2 and C2:

Excel, Formulas, Concatenating
Result:

Excel, Formulas, Concatenating Result

By modifying the values in the cells A2, B2 or C2 the value in D2 is automatically updated:

Excel, Formulas, Concatenating Result 2
